Pre Aurora Part 2

I woke up today relatively calm despite having a nightmare which from what I can vaguely recall involved scooby doo characters and a giant Egyptian themed mansion. The reason this is important is because for most of the week or so preceding my departure to Denver I've woken up incredibly nervous about leaving for Americorps, but today I just sort of woke up feeling nice and serene to the point where I decided to stay in for the first half of the day and watch Lupin III instead of actually getting anything done.

In terms of my actual tasks for today, the only thing I really had to do was get the process started that would allow me to get a new passport after I lost my old one. The reason I'm getting a passport right now despite knowing full well that I'm going to be staying in the same country for at least a year is because right now I only have one photo ID I can carry, my state license which for those who don't know is basically the participation trophy of Identification. If for some reason I lost my state ID I'd mostly likely to be unable to do a lot of things which are very important as well as making myself vulnerable to a lot of unsavory things.
The appointment itself didn't really take that long because I had scheduled it ahead of time, which to a clickbait spewing  soulless YouTuber is called a life hack. Usually I hate the term life hack because it just involves doing stuff in slightly better ways rather than hacking into the fabric of either our reality or even just our society, but I think what I did is worthy of being called a "Life hack". This is because right now due to a massive clerical layoff there are a lot fewer places to get passports, mairrage renewals and other forms not given out in the hell dimension known as the DMV leading to massive lines and general frustration. Yet unlike that previously mentioned Hell dimension you can plan ahead and get your documents without the tremendous line. Honestly I feel this is a prettt nonsense post but I feel a compulsive (possibly obsessive compulsive) desire to document my every day before I leave for Aurora on Tuesday October 10th. This has been Isaac and remember, the head of motorcycle will swing when the hand shaking!
